What was the vision for Pacific Station?
Well our vision was dictated by the zoning which required 50% commercial and 50% residential. Combined, this would be a total of 100,000 square feet. We wanted to create North Nanaimo’s most vibrant business community that would blend harmoniously with the residential component of the project, all set in a west coast, modern style of architecture.
What differentiates this final commercial phase from earlier phases?
Well the final phase of Pacific Station is really the crown jewel. This will be comprised of two buildings, one of them being the largest building on the property. It will have underground parking, elevators, fantastic highway exposure with 40,000 cars a day going by, opportunties for pylon signage, building signage and really the ability to move a large corporate business into anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 or 6,000 square foot units. We really believe this is going to be North Nanaimo’s premier business centre. We already have approximately 14 businesses doing commerce within the project now and we are really looking forward to complementing that with this new phase.
